More About the CAIBA:
The CAIBA exists to help sustain local independent businesses, keep our community vibrant with a wide variety of strong independent businesses and encourage entrepreneurism in future generations.

Our local alliance has joined forces with the American Independent Business Alliance and now has access to programs and strategies that have already proven to be successful across the country. Our professional organization will represent your interests, help plan group promotions and educate consumers to eat, drink, think LOCAL FIRST when deciding where to spend their money!

. Of $100 spent at a chain store only $13 remains in the local economy, but $45 out of every $100 spent with an independent local business goes to work in our local economy.
Our local businesses provide us personal service and real value while supporting a wide range of community organizations and events. They also contribute to the distinct character that makes Springfield special.
Chain stores often bring in their own bankers, builders and designers and managers. But when local businesses grow they hire local architects, engineers, accountants, ad agencies they buy their insurance, supplies and media locally. They hire locally and their profits stay locally.
